Answer : This lesson is written by G.L. Fuentes. Lencho was a hard working farmer . He lived on a crest of a low hill. His cropes were good that year but it needed a downpour. He was very to see the cloud in the sky and soon it started rain . After some time the rain followed by hailstones and hailstorm.

The whole standing crop in his field was totally destroyed.Nothing was left for the poor Lencho and his family .

He had no hope . So he wrote a letter to God ,asking for one hundred pesos in order to sow his field and live until the new cropes came . The postman show the letter to postmaster. Postmaster read the letter and decided to help .He and his employees contributed and collected seventy pesos, put the money in an envelope addressed to Lencho .

Question 2: Write character sketch of Lencho ?

Write the character sketch of Lencho according to the lesson A Letter to God .

Answer : According to this lesson A letter to God , we find the following qualities in the character of Lencho.

1. Lencho was a poor farmer .But once his crop was completely destroyed by hailstones. Nobody helped him . He was helpless and sad .

2. Lencho had unbroken and firm faith in God .He believed that God would help him in this condition. He would not let him die in hunger .

3.Lencho was very simple and innocent. He wrote a letter to God and requested to send him one hundred pesos .

4 He believed that God could not made a mistake,nor could he have denied Lencho what he had requested.

Question 3: Write the Character sketch of postmaster according to the lesson A Letter to God ?

Answer : The best part of the postmaster's character comes before us when he opens the envelop. He decides to help by sending some money to the letter writer so that his faith in God is maintained. Postmaster asks for money from his employees,he himself gives a part of his salary and several of his friends join him in this act of charity.He puts the money in an envelope addressed to Lencho and with it a letter containing only a single word as signature - God .

This shows that the postmaster loves to perform good deeds and finds contentment from this act .

This we can say that postmaster is an aimable , kind-hearted follow who saves Lancho's faith in God .
